Well, here's to another year older (hopefully wiser!). My birthday this past week marked one whole year of us being in Indiana, and I've been doing all kinds of reflecting on a few things I've learned and re-learned the last 12 months:
✨God has got you. Always. He's so mindful of the path you're on. And that won't change, no matter where you are or what you've done.
✨It really doesn't matter what kind of mattress you get. Just slap a 4 inch memory foam one off of Amazon over the top of whatever you've got and sleep like a baby.
✨People are people. A fascinating mess. Let them be, and *sincerely* love them for who they are and where they're at. Everyone is a masterpiece in the making, no matter what style of art you fancy.
✨Chicken math is a real thing. You can have 60 eggs on the counter, not even like eggs, and still think you need more chickens.
✨Negativity breeds mediocrity. It's like planting weeds in your garden of potential, and when your mind is clouded with doubt and pessimism, it's hard for growth and creativity to flourish. Your mindset is your superpower.
✨Make it a song, and everything is more fun. Especially with kids. And if it's not more fun, I bet it grabs their attention.
✨It's the little things that make the biggest difference, and then in the same breath, don't stress over the small things. Getting caught up in minor inconveniences drains your energy and prevents you from focusing on what truly matters.
✨Whenever you have the opportunity to go on an adventure, whether it's to the mountain behind your house or to a new house across the country, always say yes! 👏🏼
Thanks for being here and sharing the journey with me!
