Josh is pretty amazing.
But we knew that already, didn't we?
Well, did you know that he can fix basically anything?
When I say anything, I'm talking any.thing.
When we first moved into our trailer in Wallsburg, we had just enough money to completely pay off our trailer, and pay our tithing. What we did not have the money for was a new washer/dryer combo (which, unironically-ironic, was the exact amount of our tithing).
Josh started fiddling with it. Pressing a button here, pressing a button there, who knows what, and all of a sudden ... it was working. Call it blessings from the Lord or what (since we had already paid our tithing ๐) but ... it never gave us problems after that.
Fast forward to Indiana and we start getting animals and we realize just how much we don't have for them. One of those things being ... a nesting box for the chickens to lay their eggs.
With the tools we had recently purchased (thanks, Harbor Freight!), some scrap wood meant for a chicken coop a guy on marketplace was getting rid of upon eating a rotten egg and decided he didn't want chickens actually, and Josh's strong hands, by golly he made a little nesting box.
Here's the thing, he made me promise never to post it on the Internet because it's *so* cute ๐ but two days later THERE WAS A CHICKEN EGG IN IT.
This was just the beginning of Josh's great works.
There have been countless projects and things he has fixed and built, but to name a few:
Our 1990 lawn mower. Boy, oh, boy, Josh is a pro for all the belts and random engine parts he's fixed (see, I don't even REALLY understand what he's done ๐ . If you don't try to understand the problem, you can't be held responsible for anything surrounding it, eh? Kidding, kidding ...)
Our goat stand! We use this every day! And to think we were going to go out and buy one on marketplace๐คญ
I think this one is pretty cool ... the horse water/feeder. I don't have a finished picture of them both, but he used an IBC tote and cut them in half, with one being bigger (to hold water) and the other small for food. It's worked out so great!
Like I said, too many projects to name, so to say we're lucky to have such a guy is a big understatement.
......
Also, why is it that when money is tight the washer goes out? ๐ Josh has fixed it temporarily 5 different times in the last 5 days. Here's to hoping his magic hands will cast it into a working trance. ๐
